Every so often, we have the occasion to produce a public event with a very special author who has impacted people around the world or inspired a generation. With past events featuring Paul Farmer and Muhammad Yunus, we’re always blown away by the passion of our audiences. Last month’s event with Patti Smith and M Train was no exception!The Lincoln Theatre played host to an intimate conversation with Patti Smith, moderated by 9:30 Club co-owner Seth Hurwitz. We were treated to a rare performance of a few songs, as Patti was joined by musician Tony Shanahan. The audience of over 800 received a copy of M Train, Patti’s meditation on travel, detective shows, literature, and coffee, braiding despair with hope and consolation, illustrated with her signature Polaroids.
