We are thrilled to be working with women-owned management consulting firm, The Legacy Network (TLN) on a new series of events. Based in Virginia, TLN specializes in the areas of strategic planning, human capital management, program management, business process design, customer relationship management and technology integration.
From TLN’s website:
“TLN is proud to be working with Hooks Book Events to host a series of events presenting authors of new books on the most timely, thought-provoking topics. This new endeavor is designed to engage, inspire and stimulate terrific conversation and thought leadership in 2012. Our inaugural event, co-hosted by Arc Aspicio, was a breakfast featuring Stephen Shapiro discussing his latest book, “Best Practices are Stupid: 40 Ways to Out-Innovate the Competition.”
Shapiro led a group of professionals through a series of exercises designed to help “innovate the way we innovate,” followed by a Q&A session and book signing.
In May, TLN hosted a Book Salon at the home of Managing Principal Kris McMenamin, featuring New York Times best-selling author Liza Mundy discussing her latest book, “The Richer Sex.” Subtitled “How the New Majority of Female Breadwinners is Transforming Sex, Love, and Family”, the book’s content generated a very lively and thoughtful conversation among the audience of professional women who were all connected to TLN as partners, employees, friends and family.”
