ATB Author Howard “Howie” Feinstein talked about “Civil Rights Then and Now” at the Takoma Park Community Center Tuesday evening.
Howie sure is an affable guy. He loves people. Even when only ten came to hear him. He really engaged them. They asked great questions. He talked to each person afterwards. The audience loved the accordion too. Two 22 year olds came up to him and recognized him as their substitute teacher when they attended B-CC High School!
Poor Howie had a bad back – he was hobbling around, but that didn’t keep him from standing at the podium and then playing accordion. He is unstoppable.
Oh, and he gave everyone a free “Hurricane Howie” CD.
