Well, it looks like we have survived falling off the fiscal cliff, and won a reprieve from the much-anticipated end of the world predicted by our Mayan friends. What a relief, because Hooks Book Events is starting the New Year with a bang!

On January 3rd at our first event of 2013, HBE friend and author Dan Pink had his first author talk on his new book, To Sell is Human with our client Neustar. We are thrilled to be working with Dan on multiple events in the DC area … from federal government audiences to entrepreneurial groups, non-profits and corporations. Mark Tuesday May 7, 2013 on your calendars for an event with Dr. Paul Farmer, co-founder of Partners in Health. We are excited to be co-producing this public event with our good friends at the Sixth & I Historic Synagogue. Dr. Farmer will discuss his new spring title, To Repair the World. We are expecting a sell-out crowd; plan to be part of it!

Hot off the Press! We recently announced a new service for published authors-About Town Bookings. If you are an author with a recently published non-fiction book and would like our help with securing events in the Greater DC metro area, give us a shout and we can discuss the possibilities.
As a quick reminder, HBE has a robust Bulk Book Sales Division and we partner with three wonderful independent bookstores- Politics and Prose, Harvard Book Store and Parnassus Books.
